Programs
1. Support for Persecuted Christians
Many Christians in Uganda face persecution for their faith, often resulting in expulsion from their families, denial of basic needs like food and shelter, and loss of access to education. Shaddai New Plant Ministries provides crucial assistance to these individuals by:
- Offering emergency food and shelter.
- Providing school fees and educational materials for children denied schooling due to religious discrimination.
- Offering emotional and spiritual counseling to those coping with trauma from their persecution.
2. Refugee Assistance for Congolese Families Displaced by ADF Rebels
We extend our services to refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo who have been displaced by attacks from the ADF Islamist rebels in Eastern Congo. These families, often fleeing violence with nothing but the clothes on their backs, are in urgent need of basic necessities. Shaddai New Plant Ministries offers:
- Immediate relief in the form of food, clothing, and safe shelter.
- Long-term support, including access to education and vocational training to rebuild their lives.
- Emotional and psychological support to help them recover from the trauma of displacement.
3. Educational Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children
Orphans and vulnerable children, many of whom have lost their parents due to religious persecution or conflict, are a key focus of our work. We offer:
- School Fees Sponsorship: Ensuring that orphans and children from impoverished families can continue their education without fear of being turned away due to financial challenges.
- School Supplies: Provision of uniforms, books, and other necessary school materials. By supporting education, we ensure that these children can build brighter futures and break the cycle of poverty and dependency.
4. Vocational Training and Skill Development
In addition to education, we empower individuals with practical skills that lead to financial independence and self-reliance. Our vocational training programs offer courses in:
- Welding
- Cookery
- Hairdressing
- Metal Fabrication
Upon completing their training, participants receive start-up kits to help them establish their businesses or gain employment. This program is designed to ensure that those affected by persecution and poverty can build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the economic growth of their communities.
5. Health Facility Support
Recognizing the importance of healthcare for the less privileged, Shaddai New Plant Ministries supports local health facilities serving persecuted Christians, refugees, and other vulnerable groups. We provide:
- Medical supplies and equipment.
- Assistance in ensuring access to healthcare for those who have been denied services due to their religious or economic status. This ensures that individuals and families have access to the medical care they need to recover from illnesses and continue their journeys toward self-reliance.
Through these programs, Shaddai New Plant Ministries Ltd continues to be a source of hope and transformation for persecuted Christians, refugees, orphans, and the less privileged. We are committed to empowering individuals and communities with the tools and support they need to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
